I have nothing to wear mom!....

Last week we went to Lagoon with our good friends. Somehow, Aynsli ended up in the mud, and her cute pink skirt and white shirt were covered. Luckily Karen was prepared, and had brought extra clothes for her boy Jeffrey. She was kind enough to let us borrow a pair of gray shorts, and a dark blue New England Patriots t-shirt--which she looked really cute in, and got lots of comments on.

Well, we washed those clothes and I had them sitting on the dresser ready to return. Aynsli had been begging to wear them again and I kept telling her no, because we needed to return them, and t hey needed to be clean. Well, this afternoon Aynsli came in to where I was, begging again to wear them. I told her no. She started crying. I told her to go find something in her drawer to wear. She has lots of clothes. "But mom, I want gray shorts and a blue shirt." Well, you have a blue shirt, and lots of shorts; go get those. "Nooooooooooo mom, I want to wear the gray shorts and blue shirt." Aynsli, you aren't going to wear those, go find something else. Off she goes third time. I get busy doing something else, and 40 minutes go by. I realized I haven't heard from her since our "conversation", so I figure I'd better go check on her. As I walk down the hall, I see that Wesley's bedroom door is closed. I know she's in there because that is where she has been sleeping for the last 2 weeks--another story for another time--. So as I pass her bedroom, this is what I see...

Clothes scattered everywhere! Not terribly unusual, so I figure she found something to wear. Then I open the door....

She's asleep in the bed without any clothes on. I guess trying to find something to wear was just too much hard work! Only my Aynsli...

Has it really been a whole week since I posted house pictures?

Its been awhile since I took pictures. Lots of things are happening at our house. They got the color coat on our house. We love it!

They got the vinyl floors in the pantry and bathrooms. This is in the master bath.

A picture of the master bedroom

Looking into the family room and the study in the back, which will be Chris' office.

This will be our kitchen/dining nook. It looks kinda small, but I think once all the stuff is in, that will change.

Lagoon

We made a trip to Lagoon yesterday. The first time in a few years. And last time we went, we only stayed 2 hours because Wesley was sick--we later found out he had strep throat. So we were a little apprehensive of what the heck we were doing taking a 3 year old and a 5 month old to Lagoon. But it turned out great. Aynsli had a great time, and rode more rides than anyone else. The whales was her first ride. When she first got off, she wasn't sure what to think. She had that look that said, "I think I want to cry, but I am not sure why". She quickly lost the apprehension though. She rode almost every ride in Kiddie Land, and even went on the Musik Express with me. She loved it, and thankfully didn't throw up!!

It was great fun to go with our good friends Wayne and Karen. Jeffrey and Aynsli play well together. Benji is asleep in the backpack--you can see the top of his head. This was on the train ride around the Lagoon.

Our family on the train ride.

This is Aynsli riding the bumper cars. It was the last ride she rode before going home. We honestly thought that we wouldn't stay past 8pm or so. This picture is taken about 9:45pm--and she wanted to go on "three more rides, Mom!"

Look whats happening at our house

I hope you're not bored with all the house updates, but thats ok if you are. You can just skip over them.

They got the brown coat of stucco on yesterday. It has got to dry for about a week, and then they will add the color coat.

Drywall is all finished. Now the are working on mud and tape. This is the kids bathroom

This is our bathroom. Coming right along.

I know, I know, more house, but its getting exciting!!

They are getting ready to put the underlayer of stucco on.

And we have walls!! It is going up so quickly now.

And hallways! Its looking like a home. It is funny though, how the space changes size according to what is happening. It looked fairly small with just the framing, but now with walls, its looking bigger again.

A visit to the gardens...

We took another little trip to the gardens. It is so gorgeous there. It was the perfect day to play in the fountain, but it was being inhabited by a jazillion kids because it was $2 Tuesday. So we just wandered.

Grandma came with us. We always love to go and do things with Grandma.

Every time we go to the Gardens, we discover something new. This time it was the feeding fish pond. Aynsli loved it. We had to drag her away.

Obviously the fish loved it too!

First Foods

Emalie has been eating rice cereal and orange/yellow fruits and veggies for a few weeks now.

She has actually done quite well with it. A little messy, but that is to be expected.

So far we have tried peaches, pears, applesauce, bananas and sweet potatoes.

She hasn't really cared for bananas or sweetpotatoes, but we keep trying and she's done better about eating them.

A little more house

This is more for my benefit than anyone elses. The fire place went in yesterday, and so has lots of the wiring. I didn't take many pictures of electrical, heating and cooling, or plumbing, because it isn't all that exciting, except for the progress it means is happening...

More House Progress...

So after being gone all week in Idaho, we came home to find lots of progress on our house. We actually had a house. There was a complete frame, window were in, the roof was on, and it was exciting!

The sliding glass door

Some of the framing upstairs--I think

Condie Reunion Part 3--the final one, I think!

There were babies galore at the reunion this year. Emma is on the left, and is the oldest, born on Christmas Day. Logan is in the middle, and is 5 weeks younger than Emalie, who is on the right. Don't be fooled, Emalie is both the shortest and the lightest of the three.

What a bunch of cuties!

On Thursday we took a quick trip up to Mesa Falls. We stopped on the way to take in the view of the Grand Tetons in the distance.

Aynsli, sunshine makes me sneeze sometimes!

Lower Mesa Falls

Not a flattering family pic, but the most current one.

Upper Mesa Falls
It is amazing how green it is on the far side of the falls.

2 little monkeys!

Wesley taking in the falls.

It was a great week, and we loved being with family, and just having fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year!

Condie Family Reunion Part 2

Every day was filled with lots of fun, so much so that poor Aiden fell alseep right on the edge of the couch!

On Wednesday we had a get together for Grandpa and Grandma's 50th Wedding Anniversary. There was lots of family that came to celebrate, and it was sure nice to visit. Here grandpa is introducing all his children. From left to right: Grandma Condie, Aunt Sheri, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Teresa, Aunt Barbra, Grandpa Condie, Chris, Uncle Brian, Uncle Roger. Quite the crew when we are all together!

Grandpa's sister Marilyn made this gorgeous quilt for them. Here is the family helping to hold it up.

All of Grandpa Condie's siblings were there to celebrate. From left to right, Richard, Grandpa, Marilyn, Jimmy, Colleen. It was great to see them all.

Happy Anniversary Grandpa and Grandma!!! We love you!!!

Of course Aynsli was right at home in the dirt, sand, and creek. She took full advantage of the party outside, and played in every bit of dirt she could find, including the bottom of the creek.

She was so dirty we had to wash her down in the minnow stocking pond barrel before we could even take her in and throw her in the tub.

Playing around in the "pool", pretending to get clean.

The "pool" didn't have a plug, so I had to run the hose the whole time they were in there. After about 15 minutes, she finally decided she was a little cold, although did not want to get out!
